Development Donor Files
These files contain documentation on contributions to the museum. Includes names of individuals, companies, foundations, corporations. Donor files may include solicitations, acknowledgments, and personal correspondence with donors/members of $1,500 and above; personal correspondence, photos, stewardship, recognition, gift agreement forms, Corporate Partnership Program files, Gala, Sponsorship, and Grant giving histories; proposals, award/decline letters, final reports.
Development Exhibitions & Special Events Files
Files concerning the planning of museum programs, dinners, seminars, festivals, benefits, tours; and programs relating to special exhibitions.
Gala information is filed in Friends records.
Development General Files
These are general administrative files reflecting the operation and management of the Development Office. Includes: fundraising issues, west wing capital campaign, corporate partnership program, AAM accreditation, donor tracking, annual appeal, matching gifts, Beaux Arts Council, development committee, endowment council.
Development Grant Files
Records of applications for grants to provide financial assistance for museum programs, pubications, collections maintenance, exhibitions, conservation,etc. Represented are grants awarded by agencies such as: National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, Missouri Arts Council, Institue of Museum Services, and other foundations and companies.
Development Museums, Cultural Institutions, and Organizations
Collection consists of reference materials and correspondence from other institutions and organizations at the local, regional and national level. Provides background information on fundraising resources, activities, programs and levels of contribution at other museums.
Development Office Building Fund Files
Files concerning the campaign to raise funds for the renovation of the museum building. Includes: research, identification of donor prospects, solicitation of funds, phases of building fund campaign, east and west wing pledges.
