Processing Information
On July 7, 2008, Mary Ann Steiner changed the retention requirements for editor's files. Galleys were to be kept for a 5-year retention period. Archivist Norma Sindelar gained permission to discard multiple copies of drafts, gallerys, etc., for exhibition catalogs. Sindelar started the weeding processs, but access to the storage area was temporarily cut off during East Building construction. The process resumed after access was restored.
In spring of 2023, Archivist Jenna Stout completed the weeding process of redundant drafts.
